Just a quick refresher course for my liberal friends... uh, excuse me, I meant acquaintances. Well, I guess a couple of them are still friends.
I know I've talked about it before, but recent discussions with certain members of the brainwashed brigade have reminded me that there's a serious short term memory loss issue still making the rounds out there. So I'm compelled to say it again

Bush never said we were going only after those who were responsible for the attacks of 9/11.
He never said we were going after only the Taliban. He never said we were going after only Al Qaida.
I know it's difficult, but please- for the sake of MY sanity- pay attention this time:

Taken from a transcript from 9-20-2001
"Our war on terror BEGINS with al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated." (Applause.)

"This war will not be like the war against Iraq a decade ago, with a decisive liberation of territory and a swift conclusion. It will not look like the air war above Kosovo two years ago, where no ground troops were used and not a single American was lost in combat.

Our response involves far more than instant retaliation and isolated strikes. Americans should not expect one battle, but a lengthy campaign, unlike any other we have ever seen. It may include dramatic strikes, visible on TV, and covert operations, secret even in success.

We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest. And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. (Applause.)

From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime."

Gee, you mean he was actually serious about that?
People seemed so surprised when he actually followed through with what he said. They seemed so surprised that it's unfolding the way he said it would. They're appalled that it actually really is a GLOBAL war on terror. They can't believe that it is indeed turning out to be a long war with no immediate end in site. They are in disbelief that it really is a war unlike any we've ever seen.

They are appalled that George Bush is actually doing what he said he would do: protecting us- yes, that includes the stupid out there too- from more terror attacks on American soil.
When they started to see that he was indeed serious, and that it might actually make him look good, you know- the fact that he is doing his job- out came the liberal army in all their disgusting glory and started their war against George Bush in the most vitriolic, hateful, shameful and embarrassing way we have ever seen.

Because it's a favorite tired old argument of the anti-war crowd that apparently "there were no terrorists in Iraq before we went there". Which the sane of us out here already know is just, well... a completely stupid statement; here's one last quote from the address, :
"We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place"
If your dumb argument was correct- which it isn't- the possibility of it was already mentioned in the address.

The full transcript of this address is found HERE.
For anyone who wasn't paying attention or just needs a refresher, please, read it. Keep the days following 9/11 fresh in your minds.

It wasn't intended to be a single incident.(opens in new window)

It was to be followed up by a series of attacks that we have been fortunate enough to not have to suffer through thanks to the selfless sacrifice of our soldiers who've volunteered to protect their country, and thanks to a president who has gone through with this in spite of the utter lunacy coming from the embarrassing terrorist emboldening shame of our nation called the Democrat party and it's army of brainwashed, indoctrinated, weak-minded hypocrites of the American left.
Shame on you all. You literally make me sick.
