Ahhh, now I get it. No wonder Opie Edwards was able to say:

Jesus told him so. I could never figure out how he could make such a wild promise until he began telling us:

The fact that this is statistically the most generous nation on earth means nothing, right?
All the while, every time there is a crisis, who steps up and opens their wallets? That's right. So-called selfish Americans. Big time!
Americans have unfailingly proven over and over again that when the need is there, they will help in any way possible:
Americans have responded quickly and generously with over $2.5 billion of charitable aid for victims of Hurricanes
Katrina and Rita.
* That number ranges from 2.5-3.12 Billion Dollars depending on what source you look at.

Americans also donated $1.78 Billion to the relief effort in Asia. $78 Million in aid to the Pakistan earthquake and still gave generously to other charities and churches.

...all this while "taking care of our own selfish, short-term needs".

Since Opie Edwards feels like he's our new mouthpiece for Jesus, I'll take it upon myself to speak for Edwards. I think what Opie really meant to say was-
"I'm just another liberal dirtbag ambulance chasing millionaire who really wants to be president so that I can further my liberal agenda by taxing the dog crap out of you so I can give it to the special interests to keep them nursing off the breast of mother government as long as possible. Oh! By the way, let's kick this off with $100,00.00 to me because, well, Ann Coulter called me a faggot."

Alright Opie. While you're at it why not raise a little cash for Dick Cheney because Bill Maher and hundreds of teeming maggots on the liberal blogs are wishing for his death.

So that's the week so far. We've got Hillarynut trying to talk like wherever she's at, yet, Merril Streep she's not. Up the street from that church is Obamanut doing his "I'm coming home" crap, and now Edwards badmouthing the same Americans he wants votes from.
And there are actually people out there supporting them. Like dogs at their own vomit... lapping it all up as fast as it spews out!
Yeah, I know... sickening!
Let's also not forget how the liberals are constantly screaming for separation of church and state, while they go into any church they can find and campaign for president, or go into an interview and talk about what Jesus is thinking.
Funny how liberals suddenly find the Holy Spirit when they learn how important that Christian vote is.

What a freak show...
