So, let's see... it's been well over a year since I've published anything here. I guess an explanation and short history of things is in order. If it bores you, that's fine, I'm bored too, which is why I'm here reworking the site and doing some catching up. Anyhow, up until a few years ago I drove truck for a plumbing distributor. 12 hours of driving a day gives you plenty of time to think about things, and think I did; lots of it! Those thoughts and the emotions they stirred became cerebralcatharsis.com. I originally wanted to use the name cerebraldebris.com, since it's the handle I've been writing under since '99. Strangely enough, that domain is taken, so cerebralcatharsis it is!
A quick sidenote about the alias- I came up with it while doing tech support for Earthlink. Just using my real name in my correspondence seemed boring, so I came up with CerebralDeBris, as it contains my first, middle and last initials. As time went on I just continued using it everywhere out here... literally everywhere I go. I continue to use it to this day mainly to keep current and future employers out of my online life and personal business.
Back to the site... I liked to try and get a few posts in every week, and did pretty consistently for a few years. As time went on at the job and layoffs were beginning to rear their ugly heads I was needed off the road and in house... read that as FORCED off the road full time to do 3 jobs rather than the one I rather enjoyed. Naturally, my thinking time became less and less and the posts became fewer and fewer. Fast forward a couple more years and a new addition- number four- to our family. I am now in house full time; same industry, different job function. I've been fortunate to have made it through four layoffs. One at the previous job and three where I now kick the piss out of myself on a daily basis. My study and research time is next to nothing at this point and other more pressing matters have taken priority over the site. I've recently started work, again, on my internet advertising ventures which I'll talk about more in a future post, but mostly, i've just been working to the bone to hang on to a job that I despise, but that pays the bills. What little time is left I use to recoup a little energy and hang out with my beautiful family.
That's the long and short of it. I have a feeling that most of us are in a somewhat similar siuation right now, and it's sure as hell not going to improve with this Marxist and his anti-business agenda in the White House! I'm reminded of all the cute little comments people made, like "four years of Carter got us 8 years of Reagan", and all I can say to that is four year of Obama is getting us a destroyed country!
Seriously, did you think this would end without a little Obama love?
To end this, the site will remain. Updates will come when they come and I'll share a little of other projects I'm involved in as time goes on. Until then, it's that time again... Hug the peeps, kiss my sweetheart, take a scalding hot shower and rest my weary mind.
Goodnight! Sweet dreams in the the land of milquetoasts and Marxists.

This Week's Post Was Suggested & Written By Mary Ann
Sgt. Kenneth G. Ross
24 years old from Tucson, Arizona
7th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment
September 25, 2005
"He believed in serving his country," said Ross' father, David C. Ross. Gary Anderson, Ross' best friend and an Army infantry veteran who served nine months in Afghanistan and 11 months in Iraq during his active duty stint, was a classmate of Ross at Marana's Mountain View High School. "You know, I heard this news of Ken and I broke down and cried hysterically," said Anderson, now a firefighter for the Ak-Chin Indian Community in Maricopa. "He loved everyone; everyone who came in contact with him loved him. He'd always help everyone out that he could."
A 1999 graduate of Mountain View, Ross played drums in the marching band and orchestra, his father said. Ross enlisted in the Army right after graduation. "He just wanted to take part in history," Anderson said.
At the time of his death, he was a helicopter mechanic — acting as a door gunner on his last mission, his father said. SSgt. Ross was killed when his helicopter went down southwest of Deh Chopan, Afghanistan. Also killed in the crash were Sgt. Shawn A. Graham, Warrent Officer Adrian B. Stump, Sgt. Tane T. Baum, Chief Warrent Officer 2 John M. Flynn and Sgt. Patrick D. Stewart.
Along with his father, SSgt. Ross is survived by his mother, Mary Ross, 57, and his sister, Stephanie Ross, 30. "I know his last thoughts were for everybody else and not for himself," Anderson said. "I know he wanted to make sure everybody was safe and would go home."
These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.
We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived

While the left nuts are making plans to create a national Obama Day... yeah, I know, sigh... today we have a national holiday for those who have actually done something to be honored for.
We owe our merciless thanks to the men and women of all races who have fought for and continue to fight for the America we love. Though the MSM and the liberal left have done a shameful disservice to our armed forces, please know that there are those of us who support you not only as soldiers, but also in your missions to defend us from terrorism.

One veteran I've had the pleasure of working with and have a great deal of respect for is Robert Highet. Robert served in Iraq before suffering an injury to his left hand from an IED (pictured left). He is one of the most energetic, considerate, respectable and loyal friends I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He asks nothing of anyone except that they understand that he is a proud Marine and a proud American who has fought for his country because he chose to. He chose to stand up and fight for his country and for that, Robert, my family thanks you. I'm proud to call you my friend.
For all veterans past and present; happy Veterans Day! Top image left to right: USMC General Hagee, Robert, SGTMJR of USMC SGTMJR Estrada.

Edit:
Any of you spineless anti-war maggots decide you want to spout off, take it to DailyPOS or some other digital cesspool. This is their day and I won't allow you to disrespect it. Derogatory comments for this post will be deleted. So save it! |

Had a liberal troll on Twitter try to chastise me for making this statement: @cerebraldebris:I think that too many Americans have no clue what Marxism/fascism/socialism is and what it really means. LiberalTroll: You obviously have no idea what socialism even is if you put it in the same category as fascism. socialism and fascism are polar opposites of each other. @cerebraldebris: Your jackass comment has nothing to do with the statement made. Now go latch back onto that breast of dependency, loser. Liberal Troll: Said comment wasn't "jackass" at all.Fascism has nothing to do with socialism, and trying to equal the two is just stupid As is typical of liberal trolls, this one is totally devoid of substance. They use nothing but empty arguments to try and sugarcoat the reality of their ideologies. I also have a conservative friend on Twitter who doesn't like to see socialism/fascism/Marxism... name your 'ism lumped together. I understand that it's difficult for people to discern between them, especially when all are included together in one sentence. For the sake of brevity, it's sometimes necessary to rattle off a thought that might not be ideally worded, given the140 character constraints of Twitter. I also understand that there are indeed differences. The liberal troll wants to act indignant about being lumped in with fascists only because in his little mind his adoration for socialism is so much nicer than fascism. In his little mind, socialism is good, fascism is bad. What the liberal troll won't admit is that one does have to do with the other, especially when our government is practicing each. Quick digression- To give you an idea of the little mind I mention, his bio on Twitter reads, in part "Socialism rocks. F*** AMERICA, THE TERRORIST NATION!" -so, you can see why I am not at all tolerant of this degenerate. The conversation between my conservative friend and I went like this: Friend: If people understood the differences, instead of lumping them all together, they'd see the why cons/cap'ism is better 'n all @cerebraldebris: Well, it's easy to lump them all together. Especially when the current government dabbles in a little bit of each. @cerebraldebris: Yes, people should study the differences, but the differences are irrelevant when the end result is the destruction of liberty. Friend: Absolutely, but it's easy to for lib "intellectuals" to miss that point because they want to recognize each for what it is. @cerebraldebris: True enough, but I'm not interested in whether or not the libs approve of what I say. I'll leave that to the eunuchs in Washington. Alright, back to the point! You'll notice that I often refer to socialism/fascism in the same sentence. This is for anyone who ever wants to tell me that I shouldn't... ... are you ready? I don't give a rat's @$$ about the differences. Yes, I understand the differences, and they are many, but with this hybrid we've got in Washington, do the differences really matter? The answer is a simple "no", it doesn't matter. A car and an airplane are far different from one another, but both will get you from A to B. One much faster than the other. What matters is the end result of socialism/fascism/communism. All destroy liberty! I'll say it again- they ALL end with the destruction of liberty! There is no argument to the contrary. Each, although different from the other in definition, have one common result, and that is the removal of your liberty. The destruction of your freedom. The differences don't matter when the end result is the same. They all completely and utterly contradict our Constitution and the principles it is founded upon. So, before anyone else decides they'll try and "enlighten" me as to the differences between them, I don't think I can make my position any clearer.
